I cannot even work on a cruise ship anymore because I cannot be issued a passport as of the first of last year. I have paid child support but I am only paying on interest now. I will be paying until by dying day. My oldest daughter is in her 50's and I still pay child support. My actual debt has been paid in full but not as the records show. I cannot ever get over the interest. I am not a deadbeat but wasn't always there physically for my first family. I have always paid one way or another. I think it is time to stand up for myself and I have the balls rolling (not mine). Is this America? What has happened to this mega system that they call child support. I know this web address is too long and so is my support sentence but for now go to:
http://www.wix.com/woolybooly/deadbeat-dads-of-america

"Don't Sleep" Parallel

I Survived "The Oregon Trail"

OMG... am I really home? As I am walking my fine dog, Toby, through the walkway at the San Diego Harbor, I take in the fresh air and awesome beauty around me and I wonder. Had I only known a year ago that I would be here instead of the frigid hell I was residing in then it might have been a little easier to swallow. I thought I was trapped in this little S.E. Oregon city indefinitely. After living in the night of the living dead for several months, we finally came into the light. The best experiences of our entire time spent there, was meeting the three nicest, true blue, tell-it-like-it-is, people that I had ever known. We thought most people from little farm town would be truly friendly. After all the people driving by did always wave to everyone, even strangers. I guess we really were pretty strange to most of them. We were the people from California and we did hear about it. Any questions you had about anything besides The Oregon Trail, was answered , "Well you know this is Vale and we are about 10 yrs. behind." I really didn't mind the slower pace of a so-called 10 yrs. behind but I didn't know they meant light years.

The gossip is so thick and nasty there that people talk about themselves before you hear something through the grapevine. It felt to me like I knew way too many personal habits of the business owners in town. My own sister who was living there was a catalyst to much of the mud singling going on in town. She started slinging her mud at my wife and I, so that several of the village idiots were about to bring fire. She had a lawn problem and wanted to blame us for malicious mischief and destruction of property. The law actually came to our home and requested that we take lie detector tests. An officer told my wife that if she speaks to her then she would be arrested. Who says there are flames in Hell because I can tell you that I have been there and it is called Vale. It gets very cold and windy but the weather is never predictable. Another reason that we knew we were in hell was when I asked my brother what was wrong with my sister. He referred to her as "THE PHYSCO BEAST FROM HELL".

One of the first nice and warm sunny days we had there only lasted moments then we were pounded with hail the size of baseballs. There are many honest, hard working, lovely people, there I'm sure, I just didn't happen to meet them. I am afraid I never will. As for the fun we did have and the 3 great friends we made, it was just way too late. We did have our share of partying, fishing, camping, 4 wheeling, sightseeing and having some great times with our new friends. We hope to see you guys again.

<category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='P. This has caused me years of thought over many. Today as my wife and I discussed the theory of relativity and such we stumbled on the topic of stem cell research. The controversy has much to say on both sides. Although it has and could save many more lives in our world today, there is also the flip side. Cloning is the most controversial subject ever. Making new organs from ones own DNA. Making a twin for ourselves so we can use parts later.
How about this thought? Instead of using the new and perfect parts and replacing our old ones, lets just switch the process. Take our brain and put it into the new and improved other cloned self. Now we have it, the fountain of youth. My 68 year old brain implanted into a perfect young version of me.
Now put that in your pipe and smoke it!

The Box

The Del Mar Race Track opened up on my wife's b-day so that was not what she wanted to do, thank goodness. The lines the crowds the wait at the bar is not fun for us anymore. I will say that I do like the races. My father told me that the first 10 days or so you should let the horses feel the track and watch the results for that time. There are many systems and theories but I purely enjoy the rush. I read the form the night before I go and ride the roller coaster of g's up and down all day long.

I plan on going to Del Mar every week now that I am retired. My good friend GJ said that Fridays were mine. I have a spot that is fit for for king. I have the absolute pleasure of sharing a box that has been in GJ's family for decades and he now he keeps up with his father's tradition, God rest his soul. I have enjoyed going with him and his mother and father to their ultimate spot in their box right at the finish line. His mother and father were the nicest most genuine people you could ever meet. His dad was truly a mans man and will always be missed. We will continue to smile and have fun and include their memory with every visit.

Run your own Keno ticket

Years ago I was playing poker at The Mint in Vegas and we had a group ticket for Keno going. We finnaly hit the big one 6 out of 6 and the keno runner said she didn't turn that one in. I went to the Keno manager and he said sorry we can't be responsible for the runner not putting your ticket in. I showed him where I had been playing the same ticket for several hours. In thoses days if you didn't like what was going on then you should pick up and leave. I did.
I know this sounds like a near miss horse story but I will spare you those.

I'll come up with some new ones from Del Mar after opening day on July 22. From the Beatles lyrics from back in the day, I honestly didn't think then that I would last that long. Now that I just made it to 68, I don't really feel it is that old. Not for me anyway. I see other people my age that have so many more problems than myself. Sex, drugs and r & r was my mantra for so many decades. I was livin' in the 70's after everyone else had outgrown it. I have lived life in the fast lane and have very few speeding tickets. Does the tree in the forest make a sound when it falls if know one is around to hear it? So the question should be; Is it against the law if you're not hurting anyone and nobody knows. If u run a stop sign at 4 a.m. in a desolate spot, does it go on your record in the big book? I have taken my chances in life and still love to ride roller coasters, the bigger the better!

My birthday falls 2 days after the 4th of July, so I feel the fireworks kick off the begging of my birthday week. I have celebrated many of them at fairgrounds and coliseums. It's no wonder that my own mother was walking up and down the stairs at the L.A. Coliseum just 44 hours before giving birth to me. My father was the building superintendent of The L.A. Coliseum & The Sports Arena. I saw every great sporting event, concert, & rodeo that came to town. I even stood right next to John F. Kennedy (president elect), on the east end of the field . He was just about to give his speech at The Democratic Convention in 1959.

I consider myself very fortunate to still be in this ever changing world of new adventures and pleasures. On my birthday week I shared the new ride, SPEED at The Del Mar Fair with my grandson. I need my G's. The rush was great! The fireworks were awesome too.

The Trip of a Lifetime

I'm Tommy and I would like to share my life as a retired traveling gentleman. No one can fire me for saying the wrong thing, so I plan to tell all. I thought retirement would be a drag but I have never had so much fun. Cruising Mexico and travelling our country is a real TRIP!
Just retuned from Philly, Atlantic City and New York and loved it all. Went for a wedding in
Atlantic City and reunited with old friends.
I was privledged to view a book called "Poker Face" from the 1960's & 70's, of which only 500 were ever printed. I enjoyed reminising and looking at faces that I haven't seen for many years. Bill Boyd, Jonny Moss, Jimmy Casella, Sarge, Sailor Roberts, Chip Reese, Benny & Teddy Binion, Jack Stauss, Puggy, & Major Riddle are faces that we will never see again. Their memories will live forever in the annuals of The Old School.
